Cell phone charging basket

A cell phone charging basket I recently made from the tutorial posted by Oh, Fransson!  I like the way it turned out, and of course, this continues the slew of projects I’ve been making from Amy’s Midwest Modern fabric.  Yum!

Here’s the inside and back:

The inside panels have been free-motion quilted (with the BSR of course), and so acted as another learning opportunity for me to figure out how to get better at the technique.

My only issue with the basket is that the walls bulge out a bit.  Perhaps some heavier interfacing next time?  Seams down the corners?  Not sure.  Also, because of the odd and annoying placement of all electrical outlets in our house, this basket sits on top of a mid-height bookshelf, which means that I can never actually see my cell phone when it’s in there.  I’ve left the house uncellphoned now multiple times as a result. Ah, the things we do for pretty fabric displays around the house!
