Hi Kim,
Sorry for the delay in reply! The buckets are Ikea (though they don't sell the exact ones anymore) and the magazine holders are made by me - or, at least covered in paper by me! They were just plain plastic ones from a local library that I glued paper to. Easy!

Hi Michelle,
The cart/drawer units are Elfa shelving units from the Container Store. In fact, the whole closet is Elfa. Not the cheapest, but nearly 3 years later, everything's holding up REALLY well, and hasn't collapsed - even with the reams of fabric I've been buying lately :-)

I just found your blog while surfing for craft room storage ideas. I love the hanging buckets you have pictured with your cute magazine holders...Did you make those, or buy them somewhere?

Thanks!

Hi Ellie,

The metal buckets came from Ikea. I love them, and want them everywhere in my house! I think they were in the kitchen area. They also have some white porcelain-y buckets that are super cute and hang in a similar way. -Robyn

I stumbled upon your blog when I searched for craft room makeovers. You did a very nice job and inspired me to find better storage for my fabric. Right now, it's all in clear plastic storage boxes, which is ok until I have to empty an entire box to get to the piece I need on the bottom. I suppose I was thinking that the bigger boxes would be better. But now I realize that smaller ones, or drawers like yours, would be more functional.

I'll post before/after photos of my craft room makeover to my blog soon. But PLEASE don't compare - yours is much better!

Fantastic! I think I just have to take everything out of my craft room and start over again- the constant decluttering and reorganizing isn't getting me anywhere. I have also been harbouring a fantasy of taking over "the guest room" now that the boys are sharing the big bedroom...
