Zippered Wristlet

I made this little wristlet for my friend Kim for the holidays.  It’s about time I posted it!  It was ready in December, but took me over a month to finally mail it, so it was in blog-off-limits mode until it made it safely into her hands!  That day has come, and so it’s time for its online debut.

I made the pattern up and I think I like the shape, all said and done.  Maybe it would be cute with some little pleats, too!  Next time, perhaps.  I used Amy B’s fabric on the outside, and some Denyse Schmidt on the inside.  It was fun to find just the right buttons in my stash for this little guy!

Robyn, this is sooooo cute! My daughter’s birthday is at the end of February. I would love to make this for her. Did you use a pattern or did you make it up as you went along? Any tips, tricks, or traps you would pass along about it?

The wristlet is such a winner! I usually use it to stash my electronics (phone, blackberry, etc.) and every time I pull it out, someone oohs and ahs over it. Too cute!
