Another Midwest Modern Creation…

Are you sick of this fabric combo yet? I think I finally might be.  It only took two bags, a business card holder, a cell phone charging basket, and a belt.  Eesh!

This bag is not my favorite, and I think that’s what put me over the edge with the fabric.  It’s my own design, and while extremely functional – big enough to hold a laptop and a few folders, infinite pockets on the inside, sturdy feel – I feel like it could use some cording around the edges to give it a bit more shape.  And maybe it’s the Midwest Modern overload, but this bag in this fabric pattern just felt like it should be a beach bag to me.  Who knows.  Hey, at least it has a matching business card holder so I can travel in coordinated style!

Here’s the inside in all of its pocketed glory:

The things I do like about it include: all the pockets, the flap that holds the two sides together with the magnetic clasp, the handle length and feel, the tapering of the sides up to the top, and, of course, the utility of the bag.  It has an outside pocket with cording at the top which I like, too.

For scale:

There you have it.  This will likely be my last Midwest Modern creation for a while.  I’m moving on.  In fact, I think I’m leaving my grey/yellow/orange period and entering my blue period soon!  I’ll show you some of my blue items coming soon!
