Patchwork Belt #2

It’s kind of funny.  When I made my last patchwork belt, I had no idea that I would end up wearing it about 3 times a week.  It’s a great weekend belt with jeans, and somehow, it goes with just about everything.  Given the success I’ve had with it, I thought I might spread the love and send a similar one to go live with Ms. Strongly Worded, whom I think could most definitely sport a belt of this type.  So off it went in January when I met her and (for the first time) her newish beau OM for a fancy post holiday pizza dinner.  It was fun, OM was great, and I was surprised to receive a fabulous Amazon gift certificate to aid in me filling up my new Kindle – reading device extraordinaire.

(Just in case you’re wondering, that GC has since helped me purchase Shadow Country, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, part of the Twilight series (yes, I’m on the last book…).  Guernsey is a terrific read.  Well crafted and fun, and despite the whimsical-sounding name, historically interesting, too.)

Anyway, I hope the belt is a hit!  It was made with some AB fabrics, some Denyse Schmidt scraps I’ve been trying to work through, and some of my new fave blue fabrics in the Flutterby line by Tula Pink.  By the way, I adore the Flutterby fabrics and don’t think I’ll ever tire of looking at them, so brace yourself for a new slew of projects!
