The Bee Bag

A friend recently got a very adorable EEE PC and asked me to make her a bag to tote it around town in.  It’s a version of a bag that she asked me for ages ago, with specific requirements for many, many, many, many (did I say many?) pockets, a nice long strap, and ample room for stuff.  Two young boys means lots of crayons, toys, and books to carry around, nevermind the PC plus the wallet-keys-cellphone trifecta.

When you open the top flap, you get to a double-set of pockets, perfect for cell phone, iPod, mini-lightsabers, or what have you.   Two big, two small:

Inside is the padded home for the EEE PC, complete with velcro strap, in case one of the boys chooses to toss the Bee Bag around in a Star Wars Death Star explosion simulation.  Hard to see, but the inside has several pockets, too, as well as a little key holder strap.

In other news, I’ve been busily in summertime mode these days, soaking up the rays after a solid month of rain, dealing with a few projects around the house, and in stranger news, slowly adopting a running habit.

I’m thinking that part’s not really going to last.

Later this month I’m signed up for a bookbinding workshop with the Bee Bag owner, Peachfest with some friends, a birthday celebration with my family, some long bike rides, and, best of all, loads and loads of blueberry baking, thanks to a special delivery of pounds upon pounds of fresh-picked Maine blueberries from my brother and sister-in-law.

In the meantime I’ll be working through some new orders that have come in, which is always fun and will keep me busy!
