Grommet bag

I’ve been seeing about incorporating more grommets into my life.  This is my first noble attempt – more a proof of concept, really – originally an attempt to make a bag to match my red coat.  Alas, I do not find this to be a suitable match (not the shape I was looking for, really), but I do find it a cute use of grommets!  A coworker has a similar bag, in a slightly different shape, and that’s what gave me the idea in the first place.

The inside is a cute fabric surprise, and yes, another use of Amy’s Midwest Modern, lest you forget my obsession.

So far, the descriptors I’ve heard from people of this bag include:  great bag for mushroom collecting (?), and shopping bag.  Hmm.  Not quite the look I was going for, but I assure you it’s not the last you’ll see of the grommets!
